Blackboard Learn is CUNY’s enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) that is centrally supported and managed by the Office of Computing and Information Services (CIS), and staff and instructional leaders on the campuses.
Blackboard Learn allows students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online or use online materials and activities to complement face-to-face teaching. The degree to which Blackboard Learn is used at the University varies. The main purpose is to better support the development and delivery of web-enhanced, hybrid, and online instructional opportunities. read more
Updates and Announcements
On July 3, 2017, the login method for Blackboard was transitioned to new CUNY login credentials. Blackboard is now accessed using your CUNYfirst username followed by @login.cuny.edu and your CUNYfirst password. For example, if you log into CUNYfirst as george.washington76, you will log into Blackboard as email@example.com. DegreeWorks and FACTS also transitioned over to these new login credentials in August. Other key applications will transition to the CUNY Login credentials in upcoming semesters.
The fastest way to access Blackboard is using the CUNY.edu Login menu, which takes you directly to the CUNY Login page. There is no longer any need to go to the CUNY portal page to access Blackboard. To learn more about CUNY Login, see the Login Instructions in the User Guides on cuny.edu/blackboard.
Faculty should find useful the following resources on this website: information on Blackboard development at CUNY; User Guides with information on using new and improved features; and FAQs with answers to the most commonly asked questions.
Students will also find useful information on Blackboard; and answers to their Frequently Asked Questions.
