The Office of Recruitment and Diversity’s (ORD) staff supports CUNY’s Central Office and campuses in compliance, diversity, recruitment, and retention. An integral part of the Office of Human Resources Management, ORD works closely with its colleagues to promote and enhance CUNY’s workforce. ORD cultivates a diverse and inclusive community in collaboration with several advisory boards and tasks forces, including the University Advisory Council on Diversity, campuses’ Chief Diversity Officers, the CUNY Mellon Faculty Diversity Career Enhancement Initiative Advisory Committee, the Faculty Fellows Publication Committee, and the Strategic Framework Knowledge Creation Team. Dr. Arlene Torres has been our University Dean for Recruitment and Diversity since 2006.
