The Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Academic Library Trends and Statistics Survey is administered by the ACRL Academic Library Trends and Statistics Survey Editorial Board and is designed to gather information at the national level from all types of academic libraries.
The ACRL Academic Library Trends and Statistics Survey has three objectives:
- The first is to offer participants the opportunity to complete two surveys in one, including the IPEDS Academic Libraries (AL) Component. Survey participants may download a .txt file which can then be used to upload the required IPEDS responses (excluding data notes) by the institutional keyholder or the library if designated by the institutional keyholder as an IPEDS user.
- A second objective is timeliness: the responses to this survey will be available for use within months of the closing date.
- A third objective is to collect measures that have proved over the years to facilitate benchmarking and best practices studies.
The CUNY Statistics Committee reviews CUNY data prior to submission annually as well as offers additional information on the CUNY Libraries Statistics guide.
CUNY Libraries Inter-Campus Services (CLICS) is a system by which CUNY libraries lend books to students at any CUNY campus. Data for items both sent and received are retrieved from CUNY’s integrated library system (Aleph) quarterly and reported below.
