Research Analyst, Part-time
David Topel is a part-time Research Analyst in the Office of Policy Research at the City University of New York. Currently, he is assisting in different projects focused on the evolution of admission criteria in the past 15 years, diversity in enrollment, graduation rates and degrees awarded across public institutions of higher education through exploration of data in different sources, comparing methodology used in different college rankings, and projections of enrollment.
Previously, David worked as an Associate Admissions Director in a higher education institution in Israel. David holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (Caracas, Venezuela), and an M.A. in Government from the Interdisciplinary Center of Herzliya (Herzliya, Israel). He is a doctoral student in Criminal Justice (policy track) at CUNY Graduate Center and John Jay College where he is researching whether there are spatial relationships between crime distributions and characteristics of schools and higher learning centers in selected Latin American countries.
