The working groups, which meet bi-monthly, provides a setting for collaboration on development and implementation of projects. Based on feedback from industry, faculty, administrators, and students, the CTC created and is convening the following working groups:

Curriculum Development and Pedagogy

This working group will focus on both content and teaching, supporting curriculum development and instructional approaches that emphasize incorporation of industry feedback, “active learner” teaching strategies, and project-based learning in the classroom.

Associate-to-Bachelor Transfer

Associate degree STEM students at CUNY are highly diverse, but many do not go on to study in bachelor’s level CS/IT programs. This group will focus on identifying strategies and developing programming to increase the transfer rate of associate-level STEM graduates, especially those from historically underrepresented groups.

This workgroup will focus strategies and activities that significantly increase the numbers of CUNY students obtaining tech internships and jobs, enhance colleges’ capacity to offer the specific types of career readiness supports needed to find jobs and be successful in the tech sector.
