Solar Plus Pro is an integrated professional training program at LaGuardia Community College that prepares electricians and related professionals for careers in the growing solar photovoltaic industry. The first two courses provide a solid foundation in PV installation and design fundamentals. For the third course, participants choose one of two specialty tracks–PV Installation or PV Sales
The Helena Rubinstein Scholarship Fund supports individuals seeking career advancement through education and training, and who do not have access to other sources of funding that can pay for tuition and fees. Scholarship funds can cover up to 90% of program costs.
The New York City Welcome Back Center, located at LaGuardia Community College, helps internationally-trained healthcare professionals enter the profession in New York State. The Welcome Back Center offers licensure guidance for physicians, nurses, licensed practical nurses and vocational registered nurses, psychologists and social workers.
This program teaches entrepreneurs and small business owners how to start and run a business. Participants will learn how to develop a business concept, develop financial goals, and maintain and grow a successful business operation.
