Women and Non-traditional Employment Opportunities Forum

For more than 90 years, the United States Department of Labor Women’s Bureau, has been meeting its mandate by: identifying, researching and analyzing the topics working women care about most; pioneering innovative policies and programs to address them; and enhancing public education and outreach efforts to raise awareness on key issues and developments affecting women in the workforce.

On Thursday, March 30, 2017, be our guest and dialogue with women in the building trades in New York City and advocates.

Topic covered will include:

  • History of the tradeswomen movement in New York City
  • Female participation and leadership in the building trades
  • Current efforts by tradeswomen and advocates to build awareness of women in the trades
  • Organizing to support both recruitment and retention of women in the trades
