The Early Childhood Learning Center offers Free Education Program for family members and friends of individuals with mental illness. Family to family is a free series of 12 weekly classes structured to help caregivers understand and support individuals with serious mental illness while maintaining their own wellbeing. The Child Care Council at CUNY held its’s 14th Annual Childcare Conference on January 19, 2018 at Bronx Community College. Approximately 178 participants from 16 campus based children’s centers attended the conference. The participants included teachers, directors, social workers, family workers, and administrative assistants. The presenters were subject matter experts across many disciplines in the early care and education field.
