Who should write my letter of recommendation?
Your letter of recommendation should come from a full-time or part-time professor on letterhead and must be received by Sunday, January 31, 2016.
I am not a U.S. Citizen. Can I still apply?
Yes you may still apply as a non-U.S. Citizen.
The program is open to student enrolled at any CUNY college. Students enrolled at the senior colleges must be sophomores or juniors at the time of application. Students at the community colleges must have at least 30 credits at the time of application.
CSURP is also open to students enrolled at universities in the states of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut.
Personal Statements: How long should my personal statement be and what should it include.
Your personal statement should be a maximum of 500 words in length. Your essay should offer a compelling statement about why you believe the CSURP is good fit for you.
What type of research experience can I expect to gain from CSURP? Will it be hands-on and applied?
Students can expect to enter an intensive lab experience under the mentorship of a CUNY faculty member. Your mentor’s labs will vary in size and setup according to their research focus and projects.
Can I choose my mentor?
Applicants and mentors are carefully paired by the program director.
